Emergency remote teaching and learning in simultaneous interpreting: Capturing experiences of teachers and students

چکیده

The article covers the transfer to emergency remote teaching and learning in Simultaneous Interpreting (SI) during Covid-19 pandemic lockdown early 2020. study aims establish some approaches as how move online training was conducted, what we can learn from this experience were main challenges. presents analyses findings of survey staff students seven universities Europe Australia. Twelve interviews conducted remotely with selected members students. confirms that able complete their modules by making arrangements for a smooth synchronous asynchronous modes. mostly depended on prior teams delivering workshops webinars close engagement role course or module leader has been outlined key providing leadership lockdown. One conclusions addresses need interpreting within university Translation courses view current situation possible new re-quirements future. © Alex Krouglov 2021.
